2. Notes for Participation and Research Presentation in the Meeting

For JFS members

To participate the meeting, preliminary registration, research presentations are available.

For non-JFS members

To participate the Meeting is available.

Research presentations are not available basically. However, non-JFS members may give research presentation in the “Symposia” based on the request from the coordinator. (Registration for participation/presentation and payment of registration fees are required.)

3.Registration for the 132nd Annual JFS Meeting

Registration for the 132nd Annual JFS Meeting can be done at the JFS website. The website opened at 05:00 PM JST 11 November 2020. Applications through Fax or E-mail are not accepted.

JFS members: ￥8,000 Student members:￥1,500

4. Registration for a Research Presentation

The online registration website opened at 05:00 PM JST 11 November, 2020. Only online registrations are accepted. The registration and the payment of the registration fees should be completed until 05:00 PM JST 27 November, 2020.

5. JFS Student Poster Award

The JFS Student Poster Award is presented to the JFS student members who made an excellent poster presentation in the Annual Meeting of the Japan Forestry Society. The poster presentation whose first author is the JFS student member and which has been applied for the JFS Student Poster Award at the time of application is qualified to be selected for the Award. We hope that the JFS student members will actively apply for this Award. We also ask supervisors to encourage the JFS student members to apply for this Award.

6. Submission of Abstract Manuscripts

Applicants who have applied for research presentation are requested to submit their abstract manuscripts online via the JFS website by 05:00 PM JST 15 January, 2021. Online abstract submission becomes available after the JFS secretariat confirms the payment of the application fees. The process of bank transfer of Japan Post Bank takes about 5 days. Individuals who are planning to apply for the membership cannot submit abstract manuscripts before the application process completes.

7.Presenter Guidelines

Oral Presentations

A web conference system will be used for Zoom Webinar system. Presentation time is 15 minutes (presentation 12 minutes, question 3 minutes). Presenter handle your presentation by yourself. But, speakers are advised to submit the presentation file through special web site till 12 Mar. 2021.

Poster Presentations

A web conference system, LINK biz will be used for online presentation. Presenters are advised to submit the presentation file through special web site during 12 to 18 Mar. 2021.

8. Nursery Room

After a member inquired about subsidizing childcare costs for online conference participation, we are considering subsidizing the cost of childcare for the meeting participants. Details will be posted on the website and member ML as soon as they are decided, Diversity Promotion Committee (diversitypromotion@forestry.jp)
