Estimation of radiation transfer and rainfall interception by modeling 3D canopy structure from drone LiDAR data
要旨本文 The multidimensional arrangement canopy feature drive water balance. However, it is unclear how the canopy affects rainfall interception. We generated multi-layered forest point clouds then classified wood and foliage elements to build physical model for describing stemflow and interception. We developed capacity model to describe canopy saturation, voxel method and canopy volume were performed to assess the canopy's capacity. For stemflow modeling, we use runoff model to simulate the rainfall accumulates to the tree trunk when the tree canopy is saturated.Results show that: (1) fusion of drone and terrestrial LiDAR data can improve accuracy and enrich information (2) volume-based interception prediction model has high accuracy, R2 from 0.84 to 0.91. (3) stemflow is related to the projected volume of the canopy and the proportion of wooden structure point clouds.
