要旨本文	Geographical indications (GIs) are pivotal in promoting sustainable supply chains for local products. However, their utilization in China’s matsutake industry remains limited. Nanhua Matsutake and Shangri-la Matsutake, registered as national GI products in 2016 and 2003, face challenges such as low adoption rates and limited awareness among stakeholders. This study investigates GI usage and its implications for sustainability in Yunnan Province through fieldwork conducted in March and September 2024, including 23 interviews with local governments, enterprises, and matsutake gatherers in Chuxiong and Diqing. Findings reveal that while some Nanhua enterprises use GI logos, weak institutional coordination and unclear economic benefits hinder broader adoption. The study concludes that strengthening stakeholder collaboration, raising awareness, and promoting GI advantages are crucial to fostering sustainable matsutake supply chains and enhancing regional development.
