要旨本文 | The objective of this study was to identify the fine root traits and soil properties influencing soil respiration (Rs) in four plantations of Robinia pseudoacacia, Quercus mongolica, Pinus koraiensis, and Metasequoia glyptostroboides in Korea. Rs, soil temperature, and soil water content were measured seasonally, and soil samples were collected to analyze physicochemical properties and the morphological traits of fine roots categorized by diameter. The results showed significant differences in Rs normalized at 25 °C (R25) among the plantations. R25 was positively influenced by soil physicochemical properties (electrical conductivity, total nitrogen, total carbon, and clay content) and the morphological traits (length, surface area, and volume) of very fine roots (≤ 0.5 mm). Consequently, higher Rs was observed in nutrient-rich soils with well-developed very fine roots, and this relationship was pronounced under high-temperature conditions. |
