Agroforestry Farmers Intentions, Perceived Impact of Climate Change and Adaptation Strategies
所属 Nagoya University
要旨本文 The concrete research is to understand agroforestry farmers' intentions, perceived climate change impacts, and adaptation strategies. The research was conducted in southern Java Island, using household interviews (n=150) and key informant interviews (n=8). The data were analyzed using R software and economic parameters analysis i.e Net Present Value (NPV) and Equal Annual Equivalent (EAE). The main intentions in managing agroforestry land are to pass to the next generation and investment, which means farmers tend to maintain the agroforestry land for the long term. The most threatening climate impacts are seasonal changes and spring water depletion. The NPV and EAE of the systems decreased by less than 10% due to climate impacts. As an adaptation strategy in agroforestry systems, farmers increase the intensity of regular treatments or considered active adaptation strategies.
