要旨本文 | Eucalyptus are valued for their rapid growth, high yield, and superior wood quality, making them a viable option for enhancing forestry productivity in Japan. This study was conducted at FM Karasawa of Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, investigated growth and soil properties of eucalyptus plantations established in spring 2023 and 2024 to provide theoretical support for their promotion. Results showed that in the 2023 planting site had higher soil volumetric moisture content from upstream to downstream, slightly higher tree height, and slightly smaller base (the part near the root) diameter and DBH depending on the species. The 2024 planting site also tended to have slightly higher soil volumetric moisture content downstream than upstream, slightly higher tree height and slightly smaller base diameter, depending on the species. However, there was no clear relationship between soil chemistry and growth in both planting sites. |
