要旨本文	Platypus quercivorus carries Raffaela quercivora in mycangium pits and causes oak mortality (JOW). We investigated effects of temperature, date of emergence, and parental size on the number of pits to determine the factors influencing the number. Broods with small or large numbers of mycangium pits were selected from a standing oak trees killed by the JOW. The small or large pairs were inoculated onto fresh oak logs and incubated at four different temperatures. Effects of temperature (18, 22, 26, and 30°C), parental size, and date on the pit numbers of the offspring was determined by GLM. Results revealed significant negative effects of temperature and date, and positive effect of mother size. The temperature effect was about twice and three times as strong as mother size and date, respectively.
